Have you ever seen a perfume bottle and you just knew you had to have it? It was love at first sight when I saw the new fragrance Decadence by Marc Jacobs. An emerald green bottled perfume shaped as a quilted handbag.
As soon as I saw the perfume, I went to perfume shop to have a sniff. The perfume is definitely not what I am accustomed to, the total opposite of fragrances with top fruity floral notes, which I usually favor (check out my favorite floral perfumes on Pinterest), but I did like. I would not go as far to say I loved it, but it does smell really good.
The color of the bottle does accurately reflect the scent. It is a quite heavy perfume that I feel would be more suitable for a night out, than a day at the office. Website Fragrantica, which I consider the google of perfumes, lists the top notes as plum, saffron and iris rose, jasmine and orris root with base notes warm liquid amber, vetiver and papyrus wood.
Similar to the Marc Jacobs commercial, I felt that this is a perfume I would wear on a hot date. The words that come to mind when I smelled the perfume are sexy and seductive.
Reading the reviews it seems that the jury is still out on the scent of this perfume, but one thing everyone can agree on is that the bottle design is spectacular.
Stay Fashionable, Miss George
