OOTD: Going Neutral

A few months ago I was invited to a daytime semi formal event. Events are the perfect reason for a fashionista to go shopping for a new outfit. Instead of going for a colourful outfit as I often do, I decided that this time I would wear something more neutral. It all came about when I chose to base my outfit around my nude brogues Clarks shoes. While strolling around different shops, I came across a dress from MS mode that I thought matched the shoes perfectly. The dress however was sleeveless and knowing that the Dutch weather can be so unpredictable, I searched around for a blazer that I could wear with the dress. I do not know if you have the same experience as me, but when looking for a specific item it always seems harder to find rather when you are out and about randomly shopping.

Luckily I managed to find a blazer at one of my new favourite shops called Didi. Now the Didi store has been around for a very long time, but as of late they have gone through some design changes, where I am just loving every new fashion collection they put out more and more. At first I spotted the blazer in black and ask the shopping assistant if they had it in white. She said the blazer also came in ecru. Now I never heard of the color ecru, but when I saw the blazer I knew it was the white blazer I was looking for. Never would have guessed that ecrue is another shade of white. For accessories I bought a lovely nude bag from Zara to complete the look. So here you can see all the pieces that made up for my outfit of the day.

Blazer: Didi - Dress: MS Mode - Shoes: Clarks - Bag: Zara

And here I am wearing all my different shades of my white ensemble. I think it came together quite nicely. As someone who loves bright colors, wearing neutral was not as difficult as I thought it would be. Even with the lack bright colors my bright personality was still able to shine through.

Hope you enjoyed my Outfit Of The Day.

Stay Fashionable, Miss George
